Paolo Pellegrin

Paolo Pellegrin è nato nel 1964 a Roma. Ha studiato architettura presso l’Università La Sapienza di Roma.  Vive a Londra.

E’ riconosciuto come uno dei maggiori fotoreporter di guerra.

Tra il 1991 e il 2001 Pellegrin è stato rappresentato da Agence VU di Parigi e ha collaborato con Newsweek per diceci anni.
Nel 2001 (è diventato un candidato) entra a far parte dell’Agenzia Magnum Photos e membro a pieno titolo nel 2005.

Pellegrin ha vinto molti premi, tra cui dieci premi World Press Photo, numerosi Photographer of the Year, il Leica Medal of Excellence, l’Olivier Award Rebbot, l’Hansel-Meith Preis, e il Robert Capa Gold Medal Award. Nel 2006 gli è stato assegnato il W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography.
